I would be a liar if I said the first song off LCD Soundsystems as yet untitled new album, the party anthem “Drunk Girls,” is all I hoped from as a follow up to the amazing Sound of Silver. I am hoping he is following the pattern he started with Sound of Silver, which saw him release the upbeat “North American Scum” before laying the hammer down with the amazing 1-2 punch of “Someone Great” and “All My Friends.” Not that I am expecting him (or anyone, really) to match the awesomeness of “All My Friends,” I just hope that there is something that at least comes close. Unfortunatly, “Drunk Girls” isn’t it.
