Listening to the radio the other day, I heard a song that I kind of liked that I did not recognize. I waited patiently for the next break, only to be surprised that is was Duluth group Trampled by Turtles, who I have regularly savaged in the past as a dumb hippy jam band. It is with this statement clearly on the record, I sheepishly admit that I really like the song “Wait so Long” from the groups new record Palomino. I was reminded of the buoyant, banjo driven track today when I saw that the band had played it on their recent session on the site Daytrotter. While I can’t vouch for the other tracks, “Wait So Long” sounds excellent on the session, which you can stream from the link below.
