My Morning Jacket guitar god Carl Broemel will release a solo album this Summer (Aug 31st on ATO) his second full length. The first single “Heaven Knows” was just released today and seems a little, oh how should I say…”facile” for a guy who is not only associated with avant-alt/country act MMJ, but has also been named one of the best guitarists of his generation. Its a breezy little jam that reminds me a little of Clapton at his most boring.
