Steve from Moon Glyph recently tipped me off to Dead Luke, who will be releasing his LP Meanwhile, In the Midwest on the label sometime later in this year. In checking him out, I found Dead Luke had posted the song “God of Nothing” on his Tumbler, and it has me very excited to hear more from him. The track is a hazy, druggy, “turn on, tune in, drop out” vibe at its nhilistic best. The track has heavy shades of Brian Jonestown Massacre with its mix of erry, ringing guitars and half tempo percussion. Like I said to Steve, this is right in my wheelhouse and I can’t wait to hear more from Dead Luke and his upcoming LP.
