Soak in new (old) songs from William Basinski & Tim Hecker

Tim Hecker and William Basinski are luminaries in the ambient electronic world, which is like saying someone is “famous” in their scientific field. Despite being “luminaries” in a quite corner of the musical universe they occupy, when these two dig up old material and re-release it on vinyl, it makes enough waves that a yahoo like me takes five minutes to write about post about it. Basinski’s contributions are “The Deluge,” which is a new take on the older composition “Cascade,” and Hecker brings back to life older track ‘Apondalifa.” Grab a comfy chair and your best headphones, and dive in below to some meditative beeps and hisses from two of the masters.
