Happy Halloween, goblins and ghouls. To celebrate, Chill Mega Chill + local label Forged Artifacts are releasing The Chiller IV: Night Of The Living Chill, a tape of (nominally) holiday themed songs. Below you can hear two songs from the comp, including the sneering punk of local group Some Pulps with the anthemic “Slasher Night @ The Showcase East” and the eerie ambient from the great Ricky Eat Acid on “Death Without Reward.” Some Pulp highlight the partying, youthful and rambunctious side of the holiday, while Ricky Eat Acid go for the spooky, mysterious and scary side. Both are great tracks that make me excited to hear the whole record. If you buy the 20-song tape via the bandcamp link below, you also get a second tape of songs from previous iterations of the comp.
