Friday Five (The BEST Minnesota videos of this week, ever, of all time)
We know you come to Reviler for the most hip, groundbreaking and up-to-date local music recommendations, so each Friday we will be bringing you the five very best music videos of this week, ever, of all time. Well, it may not always be five. And the videos may be old. And sometimes they may just be cool UnderCurrentMPLS videos from the vault. But other than that, get ready for the hippest, most cutting edge music coming out from the Minnesota scene each and every Friday. Or whichever day we get around to posting it.
1. Sarah White – “Sweet Song”
One of the best songs of last year gets an official video. Hope to hear a lot more from Sarah White this year
2. the Cult of Lip – “Center”
Rawk of the lo-fi, shoegazy garage variety, polished with a spit shine.
3. Gay Witch Abortion “Belong”
This local duo have been consistent purveyors of skull-rattling noise punk over the years, and you can sample some new digs via a video on their Facebook page.
4. Tiny Deaths “Wrong”
Beautifully haunted electro pop from the forthcoming album from this consistently solid local group.
5. Maple & Beech – “Flashes & Floaters” – Performed at Humans Win! Studio
Smooth, polished, angular pop music from a local group that were new to me.
