Stanley’s Northeast Bar Room Opening Night (Feat. Gospel Gossip)
While it definitely had some less than pleasant components, Stasiu’s was one of the few places in Northeast to catch local bands, so its demise was a little disappointing. Luckily, some folks bought the building and have redone it, now calling it “Stanley’s Northeast Bar.” Judging by the menu, it will be slightly more classy than Stasius was, but hopefully not too much, as not phony dive bars that have local music are few and far between. The first show in the renovated space is tonight and features both Gospel Gossip and His Mischief, with Saturday nights show headlined by punk veterans Kruddler.
