Local MC MaLLy’s Starts Off 2023 With A Great New Jam “Yes & Know”

Even though Minneapolis MC MaLLy’s new song “Yes & Know” technically dropped on Dec. 30th, I’m still counting this as my first dip into 2023 covering local music. And it’s a good start. The rapper sporadically dropped new singles over the last half of 2022, each a bit different but highlighting his confident storytelling over a myriad of musical canvasses. “Yes & Know” continues that winning streak with a stuttering, low-key beat that allows him to reflect on the challenges of life in his fluid, confident and concise style. His songs are smart without being preachy, and his latest single showcases once again why he has been at the forefront of the MPLS scene for many years now. It’s not clear if these songs will be collected into an album, but either way you can stream and purchase all the recent tracks via his Bandcamp page below.
