Baroness Riff Hard Through “Anodyne” (Show Tonight!)
Artist: Baroness, Chat Pile, Spotlights
We’ve caught Baroness a few times over the years but have yet to alert our loyal readers to a show before. With their new album Stone, their second to feature the current band lineup, Baroness delivers the kind of powerful riffing that fans have come to expect. Among the standout tracks on the album is “Anodyne,” a captivating song that sits perfectly in the middle of the tracklist, serving as a showcase for Baroness’ signature sound. Guitarist Gina Gleason serves a perfect complement to founding member John Baizley’s voice and riffs.
Baroness headlines the First Avenue main room tonight (11/14). To make things even better, Chat Pile is back for their first local show after their day three headlining slot at Caterwaul earlier this summer.
