I have been a fan of Derya Yıldırım & Grup Şimşek for many years, discovering their music sometime over the last decade around the same time as fellow Anatolian psych rockers Kit Sebastian, Altin Gun, et al. Grup Şimşek provide a locked in groove, while Yıldırım floats above with her hypnotic vocals. Their latest LP Yarın Yoksa continues to build off their past catalog, blending danceable pop and flowery psych explorations.
