Austra is a Canadian electronic and art-pop band from Toronto, founded in 2009 by classically trained singer-songwriter and producer Katie Stelmanis. Known for Stelmanis's operatic vocals layered over dark, atmospheric synths, the project has released five acclaimed studio albums, including Feel It Break and Chin Up Buttercup.
