Comets Ov Cupid

Comets Ov Cupid is the project of Jason Kesselring, formerly of the Minneapolis space rock group Skye Klad and the wyrd folk project The Satyrswitch. It started as a solo act in the Fargo, North Dakota space rock community, recruiting musicians for live shows, and Kesselring calls the instrumental music "Faustian music" rather than space rock. In recent years it has played as a power trio with bassist Erik Wivinus and drummer Matt Entsminger, both from the Minneapolis space rock band Thunderbolt Pagoda. Their double album Eros 433 came out on Space Rock Recordings in February 2024. Reviler's Fresh Five called the album excellent, describing its otherworldly feel built from ghostly guitar chords and layers of feedback, and Jon B ranked it No. 9 on his 2024 list of favorite local albums.
