Shannon & the Clams “Rip Van Winkle” (Tonight w/ Mikal Cronin)
If longtime Reviler favorite Mikal Cronin (and local Reviler favs Is/Is) weren’t enough to get you out the door tonight, how about Shannon and the Clams? The band bank on breezy but tough garage/doo-wop/R&B mixture that fits right in with many of the artists who, like S&tC, release their material on tape via the always great Burger Records (the LP is out on Hardly Art). Listen below to the surfed out gallop of “Rip Van Winkle,” which highlights the bands fun but tight sound and the powerful vocals of Shannon Shaw. The show tonight at the 7th Street Entry is rock solid from start to finish. Don’t miss it!
