Flashback Friday: “Exhibit C,” Jay Electronica’s classic track (Rare MPLS Show SUNDAY!)
Jay Electronica is the kind of artist whose reputation is near mythical, someone who floats on the periphery in a way that helps build a legend out of someone who hasn’t even dropped a full LP. His “Exhibit C” might be my favorite rap song of the last decade, and his work has been consistently enthralling, whether on random songs he drops or guest verses. You can listen to “Exhibit C” above and dive into the Youtube rabbit hole of his amazing work if you haven’t yet experienced his talent.
In great news, Jay is making a rare visit to Minnesota for a show presented by Tony Bones of Long Doe Entertainment in partnership with Beecher and Bill of V2 Nightlife. This can’t-miss show will be at the Cabooze this Sunday, April 10th, with doors at 7. (Buy Tickets HERE)
If seeing a reclusive legend isn’t enough to get you in the door, the show will also feature two Reviler favorites opening up the evening. Sarah White (w/ a live band!) and Greg Grease, two local artists you need to catch if you haven’t already, will be setting the stage for Jay. The night also features Chadwick ‘Niles’ Philips hosting and That Dude Trey djing. Don’t miss this.
