Reflection Eternal: Midnight Hour (feat Estelle)
With Talib Kweli and Hi-Tek’s premise for their new album, Revolutions Per Minute, being ” the idea of revolution through music,” I am a little surprised by the single “Midnight Hour.” I mean, it’s a great track and all but the lyrical content seems to be primarily concerned with getting a piece of ass, rather than anything revolutionary, musical or otherwise. Still, British soul diva Estelle’s vocals make for a great touch, and “Midnight Hour” makes for a solid, if decidedly non-revolutionary, single.
