Beaten By Them “Yo”
Beaten By Them is a quintet spread across San Francisco/Melbourne/New York City, which cello, guitars, bass, drums, and electronics into a beautiful post-rock sound. “Yo” is from their upcoming sophomore release Invisible Origins (the followup to 2007’s Thrill Jockey release) and reminds me of a later period Sonic Youth fleshed out into other instruments. Well worth a listen:
