Australia’s Heirs are described as “post-doom” in their press release, which seems to just be a way of saying epic heavy instrumental rock. On a first listen, Heirs seem to combine the post rock styling of bands like Mogwai with the epic of heaviness of later-period Swans. “Burrows” relies on a building punctuated rhythm and guitar line breaking into enormous synths and tremolo picked guitars. “Burrows” is from their sophmore release Fowl, out in the U.S. on April 4th.
