Future Islands “Before the Bridge”
For those still reeling with the “what the fuck” feeling from Sunday nights Future Island set, the dropping of their new single “Before the Bridge” couldn’t come at a better time. The track, one of the songs the group played during their bizarre (but great) set opening for Okkervil River and Titus Andronicus at First Avenue is a good look at the electro-goth-opera-kitchen sink collage that the band put together. While it takes a minute, once you let it soak in there is defiently some really cool stuff going on here. The single will be out soon on Thrill Jockey with no word on a future LP.
