The Soft Pack “Saratoga”
In one of my Saturday beer and vinyl sessions recently I came across the self titled debut LP from The Soft Pack, who had slipped from my radar. Their brand of infectious but scruffy garage rock is right in my wheelhouse and their debut album hasn’t lost anything with age. The funny thing was the next week came the news that the band have their second LP, Strapped, in the bag and set to be released on 9/25 for Mexican Summer. Listen above to the first song from Strapped, the soulful, fuzzy “Saratoga,” which is every bit as dissonant and wonderful as their debut material. Look for a full Reviler review in the near future and catch the band on 10/13 at the Turf Club.
