Southside Desire “Casualty of Love” Video (Show tonight at Cocktails at the Castle)
Southside Desire are a doo-wop band with a punk rock heart. They create a swooning, classic sound with blended vocals really fleshing out their sound. Like their forerunners in the God Dam Doo Wop Band, they mesh divergent sounds in a way that can make listeners appreciate their concoctions on multiple levels. You can hear example of the group’s retro sound below with the video for “Casualty of Love,” a song from their recent split 7″ with Black Diet. The band will be playing along with The Golden Bubbles tonight at the Cocktails in the Castle at the American Swedish Institute. The event will feature music, drinks, street food venders, glass blowing and more, so it should not be missed. Their first event was a big hit and this is quickly turning into another feather in our cities cap, becoming an event that gets circled on our summer calenders as not to miss.
