Dua Saleh Finishes Off Their Amazing 2020 With “angel rock”

Throughout this awful, broken year, local artist Dua Saleh has been an incredibly bright light in the otherwise almost overwhelming darkness. To cap off the years, they are releasing one final new song with the dark and somber “angel rock.” The first minute or so features a terse falsetto and bleak minimalist beat from Saleh, with the back 2/3 of the track bringing their smoky vocals to the forefront to blend with the haunting strings that make up the bones of the track. It’s a bit more restrained than some of their other work, but equally powerful. We can’t wait to see what 2021 brings. Stream and purchase the track below.
