DIIE

DIIE is a Minneapolis band whose records draw on krautrock and post-punk. They formed with three former members of Fire in the Northern Firs and studio owner Ali, also of Hollow Boys, and released their debut EP, D||E, on the Ecstattic Studio label in 2015. A second EP, UFOs Satanic Terror, the first with bassist Shane Kramer, came out in 2016, followed by their first full-length, III, in 2017. In 2020 they released DIIE Entertainment System, an album of 11 covers of classic NES game songs, which they recorded remotely during COVID by passing tracks back and forth.
