Martin Devaney

Martin Devaney is a songwriter who was born and raised in St. Paul, where he's known as "The Mayor." He started out in high school playing saxophone for the hip-hop group Heiruspecs, and released his debut album, Whatever That Is, in January 2001. Along with his solo career, he has led the rock band the Crossing Guards and worked with Roma di Luna. His sixth full-length, House of Rust, came out in 2013. He also leads Folios, which he describes as lo-fi cardigan rock and shambolic pop made with friends.
