Young Widows is a Louisville-based trio that emerged in 2005 from the band Breather Resist following the departure of singer Steve Sindoni, with Evan Patterson taking over lead vocals. The band transforms Breather Resist's heavy post-hardcore sound into a noisy rock style influenced by DC and Chicago, with comparisons to bands like Jesus Lizard and 16 Horsepower. Young Widows has released multiple full-length albums, including In And Out Of Youth And Lightness on Temporary Residence.
