Lazerbeak “Salt and Sea”
Like his fellow Doomtree DJ Paper Tiger, Lazerbeak is now releasing his very own solo album. His record, Legend Recognize Legend, is due out September 28th on Doomtree Records. The first song from the record, the subdued “Salt and Sea,” is not a DJ track like I thought it would be, but more like a mellow version of his work with the Plastic Constellations. As expected from a DJ/Producer, the song is slick and well produced and finds an interesting balance between his old band and his new crew. It will be interesting to see the direction he takes on the rest of the LP.
