Video: Baths “All My Friends” (LCD Soundsytem)
A preface to this post is that “All My Friends” was my #1 song of the 00’s and is easily one of my favorite songs of all time, so there really is not any way that a cover would ever do it justice in my eyes. I don’t know a ton about Baths, the group who chose to cover the song for the AV Undercover 2011 series, but they actually do a serviceable job on the track. Stripping away the energy that really make the song so great, the piano driven track shows how good of a songwriter James Murphy is while also showing how much his (and the bands) instrumentation really make the songs so epic.
