Lee “Scratch” Perry “Mindkilla” (Gang Gang Dance Remix)
Handing the killer track “Mindkilla,” from the great Eye Contact LP from Gang Gang Dance, over to Lee “Scratch” Perry had little chance to be anything but amazing. The reggae legend stretches out the track and adds an infectious bounce to the track, which seems to become both more lively and more volatile with the chugging drums and sprite piano stabs. Perry’s syrup thick raps (including a section about eating police) add another layer of intrigue to the track, which already was a pretty knotty number in its own right.
