Cate Le Bon: “I Think I Knew (feat. Perfume Genius)”
I am always excited to hear that Welsh singer/songwriter Cate Le Bon is working on new material. She recently announced a brand new album, Mug Museum, set to be released on November 12th via Wichita recordings. She’s also recently relocated from her native Wales to California, and Le Bon is “sure Los Angeles has bled into the recordings somehow but exactly how [she] do[oes] not know”. It makes for an interesting prospect, and I can only imagine the jarring dichotomy of the international move. You can hear the first single off of the new record “I Think I Knew” below, which is a duet of sorts with West Coast artist Perfume Genius. So far so good! I have probably conditioned myself to react favorably to Le Bon’s tunes (I have been a fan for a number of years) though I was immediately a fan of the tune’s floaty, psychedelic vibes.
