Listen to Mdou Moctar’s searing desert guitar LP Ilana: The Creator (Cedar Show Saturday!)

There are times when it feels like there aren’t really any more angles for guitar-centric rock albums to take, but then something like Ilana: The Creator by Niger guitarist Mdou Moctar drops into our laps and you realize there is still some power and interesting twists in six strings and an amp.
