The amazing Sudan Archives will be releasing her first LP sometime in the near future, building off her outstanding EPs and singles that she has rolled out over the last few years. The first song released from her forthcoming LP (release date TBD) is the anthemic “confessions,” which like her previous work blends her plucky violin playing, thumping beats, sumptuous vocals, R&B hooks and ear worm melodies. It’s as good as you’d expect, and makes me excited for the full LP sometime in the future on the seminal Stones Throw label.
