The first thing you can probably do is search for themes for the site. One of the best reasons to use WordPress is their vast library of themes. To find themes, you can login to your site, click on Appearance, then click on Add New Themes. You can then search for new themes by colors, number of columns, and others. This is the best way to choose the style of your site without learning major amounts of HTML.

Next you can play with plugins on the site. I have already installed a few handy plugins I have come across including a Flickr Manager plugin that allows you to add photos to the blog directly from Flickr (i.e. you shouldn’t need to upload the same photos twice, just to Flickr).
