S. Carey: In The Dirt

Here’s a promising new track from S. Carey, the percussionist in Bon Iver who will release his own solo debut, All We Grow, on August 24^th via Jagjaguar.  “In the Dirt” is an intricate, slow burning piece of chamber pop that features Carey’s dreamy layered vocals over a wide array of instrumentation that sounds like it includes an entire orchestra (those Eau Claire kids certainly know how to create a big sound without a lot of assistance).  Carey’s new tunes were recorded partly at home and partly at Justin Vernon’s April Base studio, with engineering credits going to Jaime Hansen and Brian Joseph.  Look for a Twin Cities show sometime this Summer (I am guessing)
