Low: "Go To Sleep"
Here’s something of a lullaby from Duluth slow-core band Low off of their forthcoming record C’Mon. “Try To Sleep” sounds exactly like its title implies – a soft, piano inflected guitar jam that would be perfect for wandering off to dreamland. That is, perfect if only it was just a tad less intense. In fact, in his melodic but heated vocals Alan Sparhawk almost seems to be taunting us: “Try and sleep. Go ahead. What’s that? Yeah, that’s right…you can’t can you? Because my Sparhawkian intensity won’t let you.”
