Zodiacs “Faraway Friend”
The good folks at Captured Tracks have been consistently putting out reverb heavy indie rock for the last few years, so it makes sense that they decided to put together a house band. The group, called Zodiacs, will feature a who’s who of outside pop, with various formations on each track. The first song released from the collective is the jangly fuzz of “Faraway Friend,” which features members of Dum Dum Girls, Woods, Blanks Dogs and Crystal Stilts. If this song is indicative of what the whole LP is like, we are in for a treat.
