I’ve been trying to sing the praises of Ex Nuns for a while now. While these songs have been kicking around for some time now, Ex Nuns finally have a physical record coming out thanks to local label 25 Diamonds. “Dead Of Zero” kicks things off in a flurry of guitar noise and drums and never really settles down from there. Despite the noise and intensity, Ex Nuns keep a melodic sensibility beneath their waves of brutal shoegaze. Saturday night’s release show at the Hexagon is a do not miss type of show. Ex Nuns have been playing constantly all over town the past 6 months and it shows.
