Magic Castles “Sky Sounds”

Local stargazers Magic Castles have been bringing us their laid back, technicolor-pysch vibes over the last few years, and got a well-deserved signal boost a couple years back when Anton Newcombe of Brian Jonestown Massacre fame picked them up for his A Records and brought them out on tour. They will be releasing their second A Records LP, Sky Sounds, next month, and they have released the title track for our enjoyment. We actually posted an earlier version of the song a few years back, but you can listened to the pristine jangle of the polished studio version below. If you aren’t familiar with Magic Castles, the warm vibes and sugary sweet melody of this song will be a good introduction, and if you’ve been tracking them for a while, it is clear they continue to refine and improve their sound. Sky Sounds is out Oct. 20th.

The band will be playing at the Green Room in Minneapolis on Sept 26th with The Telescopes.
