400 Blows “The Rescue Party”
Los Angeles’ 400 Blows have been brutalizing eardrums for the past 15 years now with their brand of twisting noise rock which wouldn’t have sounded much out of place on local label Amphetamine Reptile Records in their heyday. Guitarist Scott Martin (now also of Big Business) covers the ground of both guitarist and bassist with a thick start/stop groove over pounding drums. At the same time, singer Skot Alexander’s voices alternates between talking and yelling. “The Rescue Party” is the closer from their latest record, Sickness And Health and is a great return for the band. They’re an even better live band, so don’t miss them.
400 Blows play the Turf Club tonight with locals Gay Witch Abortion and Blood N Stuff
