Meow That’s What I Call Music! Shabazz Palaces ‘Fast Learner’

After a quick detour where Ish Butler dropped a great Knife Knights solo album, the impeccable hip hop duo Shabazz Palaces (Butler + Tendai “Baba” Maraire) have returned with a new batch of futuristic hip hop. Above (video) and below (spotify playlist) you can listen to the heavy, twisted “Fast Learner” from the forthcoming The Don of Diamond Dreams LP, which drops April 17.The song sees Butler joined by Purple Tape Nate on the mic and feels almost orchestral compared to some of their earlier work. It’s always good to hear from one of the best, more forward-looking groups in hip hop.
