Check out Unwed Sailor’s Dreamy Instrumental “Windy City Dreams” (Show Tomorrow)
Johnathon Ford has been creating great instrumental music under the name Unwed Sailor since 1998 after his time in Roadside Monument and Pedro The Lion. Utilizing a mostly revolving lineup of musicians they’ve created albums in a variety of different directions over the past almost 25 years. “Windy City Dreams” is the first track off the upcoming album mute the charm. Punctuated by Ford’s strong bass playing, the track opens with dreamy guitars over a pulse of drums creating a great cinematic sounding track. The shimmering guitars make for a good match to their current tourmates The Chills who are bringing their New Zealand jangle to the US to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Soft Bomb album. Check out the track below and catch tomorrow night’s show at the Turf.
