Fleet Foxes “Helplessness Blues”

Fleet Foxes, who took the world by storm with their debut record a few years back, are finally back with their sophomore record.  Helplessness Blues will drop May 3rd on Sub Pop, and will probably will result in a wildly over saturated presence, but frankly the young group haven’t given a reason why they shouldn’t be a huge band, with their timeless, easy to like pop folk sound.  The first song released from the new album is the title track, and it features the breezy folk melody and Robin Pecknold’s cherubic vocals.  After one song it is safe to say the trajectory Fleet Foxes have been on since 2008 is still on an upward slope.
