Pario Marty “I Will Be”
Pario Marty is yet another group that is connected to New Jersy based haze pop group Real Estate (easily one of the bands I am most excited to see at Pitchfork). While there have been some amazing side projects (Alex Bleeker and the Freaks, Ducktails), that have continued to flourish while Real Estate has been a band, Pario Marty clearly is a project that was something that was pre-Real Estate. Pario Marty was Real Estate frontman Martin Courtney IV bedroom 4 track project, and it sounds like it. You can hear the future direction he will take in the spaced out pop of tracks like “I Will Be,” but ultimately this really just made me want to go listen to Real Estates amazing self titled debut record more than anything.
