Minneapolis Punk Documentary on cable access
In the late 90s, Patti Rhodes made an hour-long documentary on the Minneapolis punk scene titled “Debasement Video Fanzine, Vol. 1: When We Play for Real”. The film has been screened only a few times since its creation and has yet to receive any wider release. The film documents the mid to late 90s and features Dillinger Four, The Strike, Quincy Punx, The Murderers, and Misery. This week and next, it will be screened on Minneapolis cable access channel 17, so set your DVRs or whatever to record this seldom-seen documentary. Air times are:
