CLAPS is a Minneapolis-based minimal synthpop, darkwave, and post-punk trio formed in 2009. Known for moody analog synthesizer sequences, stripped-down drum machines, and emotive crooning, their sound draws comparisons to 80s new wave acts like Joy Division, Depeche Mode, and Cold Cave
