Samurai Buck – Plex EP by firetalk
It is pretty audacious to call your EP the “left handed offspring of Dill and Flying Lotus,” but this new (free) EP from Samurai Buck at least comes close to living up to the billing. Brian Marcus’s musical day job is guitar player for the Denver based pysch-kraut explorers Titjuana, so a instrumental hip hop EP wasn’t quite what I saw as a logical next step, but it is a fun record and definitely has me excited to hear more from him. Thanks to the fine folks at Fire Talk Records for hooking this up.
